Broadcasting

WLHS11 is where my journey in the media room began, and over the past three years, I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I have dedicated countless hours studying, by watching professional and other high school news broadcasts to develop my skills. I have refined my interviewing skills and gained experience editing videos. Communicating with others has always come naturally to me, and this outlet provides the perfect opportunity to do so by telling stories not only about the school district but also throughout the community.

These are examples of stories I have reported on for WLHS11.

Descriptions of each story:

The Oxford Police Department and Lafayette County Sheriff's Department are expanding their facilities to better accommodate their growing operations.

Our career coach, Ronnie Williams, shares how he launched his program and explains the ways students can get involved.

Anthony Hart left a lasting legacy on Lafayette Football, and now that he has been rehired, we spoke with him about how he plans to build on and continue that legacy.

Lafayette welcomed two foreign exchange students for the 2023-2024 school year, and we had the chance to speak with them about their experiences in America and how they ended up in Oxford.

We spoke with Homecoming King Evan Bynum and Queen Princess Jones about what their titles mean to them.

These are examples of segments where I have anchored for WLHS11.
